This is an anti-heroin PSA from the late 90’s. I remember watching it on Channel One every morning in homeroom and thinking it was such a joke. Now, years later, it doesn’t seem so funny anymore.
Because there’s nothing cool about heroin. Nothing glamorous about it. And this “junkie pride” (and “ex-junkie pride”) shit needs to stop. You are not a special, needle-marked snowflake just because you do - or used to do - dope. Years later, you’ll realize that all your nonchalant attempts at appearing impressive because of your drug history only made you look pathetic. So go ahead. Destroy your body, your friends, your family, your life - but don’t you dare come bragging to me about it.
